In recent years, we frequently enjoyed the challenge of creating something completely new: but since we didn't want our architectural vision to be disconnected from nature, the only way that we could realise this goal was by exploring new possibilities outside our valley. This realisation attracted us to Garda, where we were able to design our homes unconventionally, subject to very different conditions and requirements.
A good example is this house, which is completely open in design and yet still blends perfectly into the olive tree slopes of Torri del Benaco. We positioned the bedrooms and bathrooms in the lower level, the coolest part of the house. We created more shadow with a protruding extension which is used as a terrace on the upper level and as a large loggia below.
On the upper level, we completely glazed the living area on the side which faces the lake. The outside section can also be used as a living, dining and relaxing area. The focus on wellness is crowned by a pool at the side. The architectural language is very simple, modern and well integrated with the environment.
