This house is in very good condition and we have no desire to tear it down and rebuild it. We would like to renovate the building while taking advantage of the opportunity to improve energy consumption and extending the property by a further 20%.
The architectural language of the house will remain unchanged – we will only increase the elevation by extending the loft. A room will be built onto the side of the basement. We place special emphasis on the choice of materials. We would like to re-clad the whole building with old wood. The roof should be covered with traditional larch shingles and all the edges of the house should be rounded off. Weathering steel will be used for any skirting that may be required around the house.
